The word couple typically refers to two people who are evolved with one another, however, there can be other players within a relationship. This happens when we allow our friends to get too involved in every detail. We have to decide early on how significant of a role should outsiders play in ones relationship.
During my first semester of college one of my friends started dating a guy she met. He happened to be her first boyfriend which made her nervous because she was unfamiliar with being in a relationship. So she relied on some of her friends for advice on how to handle it.
The more details and advice she accepted the more her girlfriends started to get involved in her relationship and telling her what to do, say, and except from her boyfriend. This soon caused a lot of problems for her with her boyfriend and friends.
Since she reached out for guidance on how to handle her relationship she unknowingly invited people to become members of it. Even though she was inexperienced on how to handle it she shouldn’t have consulted so many people. Asking for advice on a subject is normal and fine, but there’s a limit on the number of people one should consult.
A woman can ask for someone’s opinion on a situation, but she has to make the final decision on how to handle things. In the end the relationship is between her and her boyfriend, and no one else.
