Every new day that we experience holds the opportunity for us to work towards a better future or coast into the next day. Either choice will change the outcome of our future. If we choose to work then we have to decide how much effort we are going to put in, but in our twenties the minimum doesn’t cut it like it use to.
Yesterday a friend and I were talking about twitter and she was telling me about some of the crazy tweets that she sees. She said that often people boast about taking care of their kids, paying bills, or going to work which they should be doing every day. Instead of that being the case they want to be recognized for doing it occasionally.
In college my mentor would always tell me that there are two different people in the world, there are grinders and grazers. When we interact with people, especially for business reasons, we have to figure out which category they fall into. The mindset and drive of those that we come into contact with can easily become our own.
The world is full of people who are content with just getting by, but those who are really putting in the work are going to reap the benefits. People who choose to graze by will have the time to boast, but the ones that are working will use that time to keep moving forward.
