I received a copy of Red Lips & Stilettos for review. All opinions are my own.
Many of you know Stylicia Bowden as a contributor to Mind of a Diva. Over the past few years she’s inspired and motivated us to seek the best versions of ourselves. This year she has taken her empowering message a step further and created her first e-book Red Lips & Stilettos. Her book speaks to millennial women who are struggling to believe in themselves, the importance of self-care, and valuing their gifts.
What it Covers:
– Why you should say good-bye to your past and not allow it to define you.
– How to find your identity and build your confidence.
– Discovering the love that you want and deserve.
Stylicia started Red Lips & Stilettos as a social media movement in 2014 as a mission to inspire women to walk in their purpose and not look to society for validation. After seeing that this movement was too bigger to continue on Instagram, she decided it was time to take move it to another platform.
“I spent six months of 2015 facing my own personal traumatic issue. I was raped 18 years ago but never faced the pain behind it. My eBook is a testament of my journey and the things I learned about self-confidence. “
This book reinforces importance of valuing yourself and your journey. If we go looking for validation or confidence in the people around us we will always be lost. Also, Stylicia teaches that it’s okay to make your growth a priority. As well as the importance of letting go of anything that doesn’t compliment who you are.
“Writing this eBook helped me reconnect back with my feminine energy and power. So often we are challenged to act like a man or think like a man to make an impact, but the reality is there is so much power in just being a woman. God truly created women to be special, I believe we should not deny ourselves of our feminine energy.”
