Some of you may remember that a while back I started a 30 Things That To Do Before 30. I’ve been meaning to give you an update on it and it’s finally here. While getting this together I have to admit that I was surprised at all I’ve accomplished. As well as wondering how I will finish the rest of it.
The beautiful thing about going on this journey is that this is like a time capsule to my 20s. It’s a way to finish it all with a bang and bring in 30 with new hope and optimism. I hope that through sharing this you will consider doing one too.
Back to the list, I’ve been fortunate enough to cross a lot of it off. The rest I’ve had to make some changes to because they have become irrelevant. The rest still needs to be done one way or another. So here’s what’s I have left to do. Have to say that completing 13 out of 30 isn’t bad.
Update: 30 Before 30
- Buy a house! Nothing extravagant but something small and with a backyard.
- Go on a wine and cheese tour in Napa so that I can see what a vineyard looks like and visit California again.
- Travel to at least two of the places to my bucket list so I can continue to cross cities off and then I can look at traveling overseas. {So far I’ve traveled to just one}
- Take a cooking class so that I can feel like I’m one of the chefs on Food Network and so I can make a fancy meal.
- Learn how to use Adobe Illustrator so I can make more of my own graphics and make them look more professional.
- Go to Comic Con because I secretly love comic books, super heroes, and cast of the shows that attend the event. {Might have to change this to something else because while I want to go my current calendar may not allow time to go to San Diego.}
- Attend NYC Fashion week to experience in person the fashion I studied in college and see a runway show. {Same reason as above despite wanting to go}
- Be apart of a speaking event that’s geared to young women so I can inspire and motivate them.
- Go to a book singing of some of my favorite authors.
- Devote time into deciding on a major and going back to school to go after my masters degree. {Right now I don’t know if I want to get a Master’s degree, still undecided.}
- Acquire some self-defense skills so I can take care of myself if I’m ever faced with a dangerous situation.
- Learn how to ride a horse.
- Get a pet, maybe a dog, I’ve only had fish growing up and always a wanted a pet.
