What are you dreaming about? What is that thing in your life that keeps you up at night? The dream in your heart that can make you smile and cry in an instant is incredibly powerful. With our dreams are constantly on our mind it sometimes creates fears and obstacles where we think that they will never happen and should just give up. So how do we keep holding on to our dreams and let go of the fears?
The best advice that I ever received about this subject was from a good friend a month or so ago who told me these two words, “Keep walking.” Don’t focus on the doubts or let them drag you down because your dreams are yours for a reason. You are meant to accomplish them, it’s your responsibility to carry it to fruition. So if you feel the fear, uncertainty, warmth, joy, fulfillment, and anxiousness of it all then that means you are on the right track.
I’ve mentioned on a few occasions how it’s always been my dream to be a writer, and the struggles emotionally and mentally that I’ve faced traveling this path. The thing that I haven’t spoken about is that being a writer isn’t my only dream; I want to have a family one day. I dream of marriage and kids with family vacations and tons of memories. I get so excited thinking about it, but it scares me because I know people who want it too but haven’t achieved it so I wonder if I will end up like them.
Despite what I see happening to other people around me and the noise inside that tells me it will never happen, I hold onto my dream. I know that the life I want is out there I just have to keep believing in it. Lately I’ve seen signs that my dreams are coming so I celebrate and speak faith over those small victories. The key is this, any opposition that you face while your moving to your dream is an indication that you are getting close to it.

Just keep walking and let the fears and doubts that comes to you strengthen your drive to make what you want take place. Stay focused on the dreams and the power that they give you. You’re tears, joy, angst, and triumphs are all bringing you to the success that only you can achieve.
