What have you been unable to accomplish because you allowed fears to stop you? Think of the dreams and desires that you have for your life, deep down we want them to come true. So why do we let the spirit of fear hold us back?
Earlier this year I was faced with doubt and fear when I was trying to pick up the pieces from my relationship ending. I didn’t know what do next with my life so I prayed and one day Jesus told me to notice the doors that are open. When I meditated on what He was telling me I realized he was talking about.
It’s been on my heart lately to become a full-time writer but I’ve been hesitant to pursue it. I always think about how what if the money is too inconsistent and I can’t take care of myself? What if my dream fails me and I stop doing what I love?
An excuse is just a sophisticated lie that we tell ourselves and then try our best to sell to other people. -Jack A. Daniels
I tried to sell my excuses to Jesus and He didn’t buy them. Instead He showed me other people who started around the time I did and we fearlessly going for it. He said, “I have given you what you need to do this, you have to trust me.”
Psalms 103:15-16 says that our time on this earth is limited. I don’t want to waste any of it living with fear or in doubt. I don’t know about you but I’m tired of being on the sidelines because of fear.
How do get off the sidelines?
Know that fear only has as much power as you allow it to have. When we meditate on it and add our doubts to it we’re feeding the fire that’s destroying our dreams. Bottom line is when we accept our fears as reality we are practicing self sabotage.

Don’t let the yourself or enemy hold you back and steal what’s meant for you (John 10:10). You never know what they outcome will be if you don’t simply try. Decide that you’re not going to let fear limit you.
Form a plan and step out on faith, that’s how you get off the sidelines. Know that God is with you and that whatever you do He will never leave. When you are moving in the direction He has planned for your life you will succeed.
