Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
I don’t know what it is about this week, but so far I’m full of happiness. It’s like I’ve been able to be productive, have fun, and maintain the confident that everything is going to work out. This has been one of those weeks where I feel at peace and that everything in my life is in perfect harmony.
This may all sounds crazy or overly optimistic to some of you and you may be thinking that this can’t go on forever. A few years ago I would have agreed with you because I was an internal pessimist. I would act like I was optimistic on the outside, but I didn’t feel it inside. I was always looking for the other shoe to drop. I felt that I wasn’t meant to be happy and that any happiness I experienced came with a catch.
My problem was that what I was saying was in harmony with the facade I was living, but my thoughts were not in sync. I was trying live an optimistic life with a pessimistic mindset. How often do we jeopardize our future by playing as though we’re all in but in reality we’re halfway out?
Embracing your happy (from my perspective) means this, let go of what you don’t know or what could happen and take hold of what is right now. Instead of looking for the bad in everything or everyone see the good. Live in this moment and don’t focus on what’s going to come. Most importantly this meant I had to get out of my head and believe that I deserved happiness, peace, growth, and prosperity.
As I’ve said before life is short and it takes too much energy to just settle and go through life. Live it now and find the harmony it can bring.
