This month there are races, events, and fundraisers happening everywhere to support Breast Cancer education and research. However, what if we don’t have a way to get involved in these events? Is there a way to still support the cause? Don’t get discouraged because you don’t have to attend a big Breast Cancer event, you can just host your own.
While it seems like a lot of work, it all depends on how elaborate you want to be. Invite a few of your girlfriends over, decorate your party area pink, and share information about Breast Cancer with your guest. You can even make the information into a game like jeopardy and have party favors as prizes.The one thing that you want to make sure that you don’t forget is food. Our friend Kimberlee has provided below some great ideas for vegetable and chip dips to have at your party.
Ranch Cucumber Dip
½ peeled cucumber, seeded and chopped
½ teaspoon dried dill weed 1 packet (1 ounce) Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Salad Dressing & Seasoning
Mix 2 cups sour cream – or substitute Greek yogurt Chips and/or sliced vegetables 1/2 peeled cucumber, seeded and chopped 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
- Best if chilled overnight. Serve with chips and vegetable dippers.
Easy Vegetable Dip
1 package Knorr® Vegetable recipe mix
1 container (16 oz.) sour cream
- Combine all ingredients in medium bowl. Cover and chill 2 hours to blend flavors.
- Stir before serving. Serve with your favorite dippers.
Buffalo Onion Ranch Dip
2 cups cut-up cooked chicken
1/4 cup hot sauce
1 package French Onion soup mix
1/2 cup buttermilk
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
Toss chicken with hot sauce in microwave safe bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Microwave until heated through, about 2 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Serve, if desired, with celery and your favorite dippers. Garnish, if desired, with crumbled blue cheese.
Creamy Salsa Dip
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 cup salsa
Blend ingredients together in a bowl and serve with your favorite dippers. *Optional: cover and chill for two hours to blend flavors before serving.
