Right now I am reading Suze Orman’s “The Money Book for the Young Fabulous &Broke” and it has made me evaluate myself and the way I manage my money. I recommend this book to those that want to learn how to manage their money so that they can have a secure future. After reading this book I wonder why people are not concerned about the numbers.
Probably like a lot of people at my age, I am not knowledgeable about credit scores and what they can do for someone. I know that it is important to have a high score, but I don’t know why it is important. So l never sought to find out what FICO is. Now that I know, I am surprised that some people are so passive about their scores being low.
Knowing what one’s number is can either make or break someone’s future, and all it takes it makng an effort to get the information. A low score keeps people from getting homes, cars, and even getting a job. Three little numbers can control someone’s future, and yet people overlook it and accept having a low score instead of fixing it.
As much as this number defines what people can and cannot do, it is crazy to ignore what this can do. Being passive about what is going on can only affect ones future and what they are able to do. There is no reason to let not knowing the numbers determine what a person’s life will be.
