Now lets be real, waiting is not an easy thing to do. In the waiting comes learning. While you wait you begin to really get to know what it is you actually want? Think of it in the sense of comparing a fast food meal to a meal in a fine Michelin 5 star restaurant. Both things will soothe your hunger but only one is worthwhile. A cheeseburger and fries is great at the best of times but its gratification is temporary and forgettable. A 5 star meal on the other hand is worth every inch of the wait. You savor every taste and every other mouthful exposes you to another flavor and taste experience you have never sampled before. One gives you an instant fix the other a gives a lasting memory and an unforgettable experience. One carries a load of calories and very little energy the other soothes your hunger using the finest food planet earth has produced, created by the finest chefs with the greatest care and attention.
What I’m really getting at is
To all my princesses & queens in your towers don’t give up on your prince. Those that cannot woo you from your tower and help you create a better life kingdom leave them be. You have earned your life crown my dear queen so don’t let any old man remove you from your tower. You are a vessel of immense value don’t let any old fool handle your goods and damage what he has no capability of loving. Wait for your champion a man who has deemed himself worthy of your affections and you of his.
Hold tight for your prince to come and even if he never does arrive, remember that the absence of a King does not make you any less of a queen.
When he opens his mouth you know whether he makes the cut. Trust your instincts. Refuse to compromise with passive thoughts such as “I know he’s not what I want, but I can change that”. “ He hasn’t called but maybe if I made myself more accessible, I could see him more”
Hold tight in that tower, continue to do good and build your kingdom until a king worthy of your hand comes along. If its worth having its worth waiting for. Anything less simply isn’t Diva and certainly isn’t worthy of you ……
Disciplining yourself to do what you know is right and important, although difficult, is the highroad to pride, self-esteem, and personal satisfaction.
