Another Wednesday means a new edition of Diva’s Wanna Know. This week we are featuring questions that were sent into us concerning how the guys feel about themselves and success. Let’s see how our panel of guys responded to these questions…
When did you consider yourself to be emotionally secure to be comfortable with yourself ?
“Around twenty-one, I just felt more comfortable in my skin and didn’t care about the opinions of others. I was proud of what I had accomplished to that point.” – @25Champ
“Personally, when I found a Black community that appreciated education and fine arts, and that I didn’t just sound “white”… and then moreover when I found a Black woman who appreciated it as well. Although I’ve dated other cultures before, my true sense of identity was rooted in those that looked like me, and their love and affection help ground me in knowing that I wasn’t a mistake.” – @jlpyne1906
For guys is it necessary that a woman have her own professional success?
“For me, it’s definitely a plus. Independence is a large step in the right direction. Dependence on money, as well as a need for financial support is obnoxious and detrimental to a relationship.” -Nikoli
“It is necessary that she understands success. Dont spend my money if you don’t know what it takes to earn it. Professional women don’t intimidate me because they more often than not, have a better sense of work ethic and value a good work ethic.” – @jlpyne1906
“Not necessarily, as long as she’s providing for herself and accomplishing her purpose and passion.” – @thegentmovement
